NH productions have been a part of Kauai’s social fabric since 1982. As N.H. (standing for Nani Hanalei) we have been producing works that speak to our community through novel performances that reach beyond our shores.

Our production company has played a major role in the careers of musician’s, composers, actors, stage managers, sound and light engineers in a grass roots approach; creating many memorable performances. Through these unprecedented times our cast and crew have remained committed to working on our craft individually. Though currently shuttered due the pandemic we are actively keeping our family close. New music, story lines and future productions continue to develop in our creative universe. 

In addition to our many original works, NH Productions have produced thousands of performances close to our islands heart like “South Pacific” which featured Uncle Al until his passing who was the original piano player during Mitzie Gaynor’s filming of the movie so many years ago. Lonely Planet named our most recent original production Kalamaku best show, now in its 12th year. 

Our sound and light engineers, stage managers, playwrights, composers and performers live on Kauai. We are proud to focus on established and up and coming talent. We believe that to remain relevant in our community at large each performance, each production must be organic. Each word must mean something to the one who utters it, and each note must ring true
